African Aids Charity Dinner

14/5/12

Tonight we had a African Aids Charity Dinner at our school for us year 12 students! The theme was Heroes & Villains. Everyone looked great in their costumes, especially Bec and Madi! Bec was dressed as Lara Croft Tomb Raider, and Madi was dressed as an Arc Angel.

The food we ate was prepared by the year 11s.

Main was a chicken with a salsa sauce over it, and a salad on the side.

Dessert was hockey pockey ice cream with decorations of toffee, a strawberry and a biscuit stick.

It was good, but overall the dessert was the best! nom :P

12/5/12

After a long day in the city we decided to go back to Zoltan’s house, and we of course ended up eating something! His lovely mum made us all delicious sandwiches and cut us off some really yummy chocolate pastry desert that she bought that day.

We're looking forward to going to his house again for some Hungarian food!!

Chinta Ria - Temple of Love

12/5/12

On a little adventure into Sydney City taking photos with our friends Zoltan & Jeremy...of course we were craving some nom time. So we decided to go to Bec's favorite restaurant called 'Chinta Ria' meaning 'The Temple of Love. It is a Malaysian restaurant.

Bec had some Parkers Gems: Bite sized pieces of minced chicken blended with potatoes, coriander, silver thread noodles and special spices - lightly battered then snap fried.

Madi had some Vegetarian Hokkien Noodles: Fresh seasonal greens tossed with hokkien noodles in a dark thick soy sauce.

And the boys both had chicken and beef dishes with rice.

After another cultural experience, we walked out of 'Chinta Ria' with our tummy's full! NOM NOM!

21 April '12

Welcome my loves to the extraordinary world of San Churro, the place where all your chocolate dreams come true!

of these gorgeous delights we chose Churros with milk chocolate dipping sauce accompanied with the sweet beverage "Hot and Cold". The "Hot and Cold" is a mug of literally 100% hot melted chocolate with a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream.

Filipino Feast

17 April '12

Asian spring rolls:

the spring rolls contained- marinated chicken, rice noodles, carrot, green mango (which tastes gross on its own btw... found that out the hard way), lettuce and of coarse the rice paper.

Chicken Adobo:

Filipino's all eat with a fork and spoon because the chicken is always really soft and tender.
Chicken, bay leaves, pepper, salt, vinegar, soy sauce and garlic all cooked in a slow cooker for 2 hours.

Dessert:
Dried Mangoes, Sweet bread with custard, Leche Flan and Filipino purple coconut jelly (Maja Blanca).

In the end... as a white girl (Madi)... Filipino food is yummy to the extreme! nomnomnom
